Rio Verde recognizes the vital role that environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices play in promoting responsible corporate action. In our sustainability report, we detail the initiatives that reflect Rio Verde's commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Below, we present how these efforts manifest themselves in each aspect of the ESG framework.
We use sustainable materials and the best market practices to ensure proper waste management and the conscious consumption of resources to reduce the environmental impact of our buildings, promoting a greener future.
We contribute to community development by hiring local workers and through volunteer programs in the regions where we operate. We also promote training and programs on the subject of the safety and well-being of our workers.
We are committed to continuously improving our ESG practices, leading by example in the construction sector. We invite everyone to join us on this journey towards sustainable and responsible development.
Our materiality matrix was built on an in-depth study of the construction industry, analyzing our history, risks and impacts. We listed 18 initial material topics and consulted important stakeholders (financial institutions, employees, the local community, suppliers, clients and certifying bodies) through a survey. Our C Level and experts also prioritized these impacts. Combining the responses, we ranked the most relevant impacts from each stakeholder's point of view. Finally, we selected the 10 most significant material issues for Rio Verde.
